This incredible 1-ounce Colored Silver Coin is a tribute to Popeye and Brutus. Popeye the Sailor, a fictional cartoon character, was created by Elzie Crisler Segar. Bluto, sometimes referred to as Brutus, is a cartoon and comic character introduced in 1932 by Elzie Crisler Segar as a one-time character named “Bluto the Terrible.” The obverse of the coin displays the Samoa coat of arms along with the inscription ‘Samoa’, the denomination, weight, metal proof, and the date of issue. Notably, this coin has a limited mintage of only 2000 pieces.
