Details
First mentioned around the 14th century, this breed originated in Thailand, where it was revered as a royal cat. The Siamese is known for its striking blue almond-shaped eyes and sleek, slender body. This breed is characterized by its short coat, which contrasts with its darker extremities, giving it a distinctive and elegant appearance.
The reverse side of the coin bears two depictions of the Siamese cat. The first one is coloured, thus giving the colourful fur to stand out. The second, which is embossed, presents a cat playing with a bushy tail. The Czech-English inscription SIAMESE CAT completes the composition. On the obverse side, which is common to the whole series, you will find a silhouette of a cat and paw prints.
