The Lunar Series III collection represented a restart of Perth Mint lunar coining just after the conclusion of the Lunar Series II coins in 2019. The Zodiac itself follows a 12-year cycle that always starts with the Year of the Mouse and concludes with the Year of the Pig. Since the Perth Mint introduced its first lunar collection in 1996 during the Year of the Mouse, its series follows the exact cycle of the Zodiac from start to finish.
